What Heavy SUVs Earn in the G.M.Luxe Fleet

Gross rental revenue per month at current South Florida benchmarks. Before the 30% management fee and owner costs. Estimates, not guaranteed income.

$3,000/mo

Chevrolet Suburban

$250/day × 12 rental days

$4,200/mo

Range Rover

$350/day × 12 rental days

$7,200/mo

Mercedes G550

$450/day × 16 rental days

$8,800/mo

Mercedes G63

$550/day × 16 rental days

The G-Class earns more than twice a Suburban because rate and utilization (how often the car is rented) go up together — 16 rental days instead of 12, at a higher price. The Range Rover rents well, but new Range Rovers lose value quickly, so we usually recommend a pre-owned one.

How It Works

3

4

5

1. You tell us your budget and timing

The quiz asks what you plan to spend, whether you’re financing, and when you need the car in service. If you already own the SUV, we can take it into the program as it is.

2. We recommend a model from the rental side

Which of the four SUVs renters in Miami and Fort Lauderdale actually ask for, which trims are easier to rent, how seasonality looks for each, and which costs — insurance, depreciation, maintenance — will matter most. The purchase, the financing and the tax structure are your decisions, made with your CPA.

3. Your company buys the car

The vehicle is purchased by your business and stays its asset. If you want, G.M.Luxe helps with the search and the purchase itself — we hold a dealer license and know this market.

4. You hand over the car in Hollywood, FL

Intake, inspection, professional photos, listing and a starting price set for the season. On average, the first booking comes about a week after the car goes live.

5. The car works. You get paid.

70% of every completed rental, with a statement on the 5th and an ACH bank transfer on the 15th of every month. Storage ($100/month), washes ($25 per rental) and insurance are deducted from your share.

THE TAX SIDE

What the Tax Side Looks Like — in Plain Words

When IRS requirements are met, the cost of a business-use vehicle can be depreciated for tax purposes, and for some qualifying heavy vehicles that depreciation can be taken much faster. The allowed deduction reduces taxable business income.

WHAT MATTERS

Three things that matter

  • GVWR above 6,000 lb — all four models qualify; check the sticker on the driver’s door jamb for the exact trim.

  • Business use above 50% — a car that works in a rental fleet is a business-use vehicle; personal days lower the percentage.

  • Placed in service by December 31 — ready and available for business use, not just ordered.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

What this is not

  • The IRS does not refund the price of the car — the benefit comes from lower taxable income.

  • The amount depends on your business structure, purchase date, business use and income.

  • G.M.Luxe Car Rental does not give tax advice and does not sell tax deductions. Confirm everything with your CPA.

HOW YOU GET PAID

The Owner’s Side of the Numbers

You keep 70% of every completed rental; G.M.Luxe keeps a 30% management fee for bookings, renter communication, delivery, cleaning and condition checks. Agreed costs of your car — storage, washes, insurance — are deducted from your share, and you see each one on your monthly statement.

70%

to the owner

30%

EXAMPLE: MERCEDES G63, ONE MONTH

Gross rental: $550/day × 16 rental days = $8,800

Owner’s 70% share: $6,160

Storage: −$100

Washes: 4–6 rentals × $25 = about −$125

Insurance (commercial insurance policy): about −$175

Owner’s result before maintenance and loan payment: about $5,760

PROTECTION

Insurance: Two Layers, Not One

LAYER 1

Off-trip

The car itself, when it’s not rented

Insuring the vehicle is the owner’s responsibility under the agreement. For the Suburban and Range Rover, we can connect you to a commercial insurance policy at around $175/month; for the Mercedes G550 and G63, around $175–195/month, reimbursed from your earnings.

LAYER 2

On-trip

While a renter has the car

Before every rental we verify the renter’s own insurance: proof of coverage, a recorded confirmation call with their insurer, and a check that the policy applies to a rental vehicle and to the car’s actual cash value. Renters without suitable coverage — international visitors, people who don’t own a car — can be offered a third-party insurance product. If a renter damages the car, the renter pays the deductible.

Insurance verification is a separate step of check-in, not a formality after the keys are handed over. G.M.Luxe Car Rental is not an insurance company; coverage is always defined by the policy terms.

TIMING

The Calendar Between Now and December 31

If the purchase is meant to count for this tax year, the car has to be bought and in service before the year ends. Working backwards from December 31:

  • Decide the model — the quiz, our recommendation, and your CPA’s confirmation of the tax side.

  • Buy the car — dealer availability on a G-Class or a specific Range Rover trim can take time; G.M.Luxe can help source the car.

  • Hand it over in Hollywood, FL — intake, photos and listing. The car is in service and in the fleet.

Starting in November leaves room. Starting in mid-December often doesn’t — especially for a G-Class.

OWNER QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I write off the whole SUV?

That depends on your business, your taxable income, the purchase date, the business-use percentage and the current rules for heavy vehicles. Some qualifying heavy vehicles allow a much faster depreciation than passenger cars. Your CPA gives you the number; we give you the rental side.

Does the car have to be new?

No. We manage both new and used vehicles — for a Range Rover we usually recommend a pre-owned one. For the tax side, used vehicles can also qualify when they are new to your business; confirm with your CPA.

Which model earns the most?

In our fleet, the Mercedes G63 (around $8,800/month gross at current benchmarks), then the G550 (around $7,200). The Suburban is the lowest-cost entry at around $3,000/month gross. These are estimates, not guarantees.

Should I buy a Range Rover?

It rents well (around $4,200/month gross), but new Range Rovers depreciate fast. In most cases we recommend a pre-owned Range Rover rather than a new one. Ask us before you sign at the dealer.

Can you help me buy the car?

Yes. G.M.Luxe helps with choosing and buying the vehicle and holds a dealer license. The car is still bought by your company.

Who owns the car?

Your company. G.M.Luxe never takes title in this program; we manage the vehicle under an agreement.

Can I still use the car myself?

Yes. If the car is free, the dates you need are blocked right away. Keep in mind that personal use affects the business-use percentage your CPA works with.

What does it cost me beyond the 30%?

Storage $100/month, a $25 wash per rental, your insurance, maintenance and repairs, and your loan payment.

How often do I get paid, and how long is the agreement?

Statement on the 5th, ACH bank transfer on the 15th of every month. The agreement is for one year; early exit with 30 days’ notice, otherwise a $500 fee per vehicle.

What if I buy the car and it doesn’t rent enough?

We don’t guarantee rental income or that it will cover your payment. That’s why we recommend the model before you buy, and why we’ll say no to a car whose numbers don’t work.

I’m not in Florida. Does this still work?

Yes. The car has to be in Hollywood, FL; you don’t.
